Founders Story

Our founders, Jeremy and Abigail Prasad, each carry a story rooted in resilience, family, and the pursuit of opportunity. Abigail came to Vancouver from Guyana in 1994, bringing with her the vibrant cultural heritage, work ethic, and perseverance that shaped her upbringing. Jeremy immigrated from Fiji as a small child in 1990, his parents driven by a desire to give their children a future filled with possibility—one they believed only North America could provide.

Growing up in families that sacrificed deeply, both Jeremy and Abigail were raised in a tapestry of culture, faith, and community. Those early experiences—watching their parents start over in a new country, rebuilding piece by piece—instilled in them a profound gratitude for the opportunities they were given. Today, that gratitude fuels their leadership, their values, and the spirit of Turbolyft.

Now raising two children of their own, Jeremy and Abigail remain grounded in the same principles that guided their families: faith, humility, hard work, and an unwavering belief in giving back. They are committed to building a company where those values are not just spoken but lived—where people take pride in their craft, support one another, and strive for excellence every day.

Turbolyft was born from their mission to create more than a business. They set out to build a community—one dedicated to exceptional service, precision craftsmanship, and genuine care for the helicopter operators who rely on their work. What started with designing better, more efficient maintenance tools has grown into a broader vision: elevating the standards of aviation support across North America and honoring the opportunities this continent has given their family.

Culture - Built, not Bought.

At Turbolyft, we believe a helicopter should be crafted—not simply assembled. Every completion we deliver embodies our team’s unwavering dedication to quality, reliability, and innovation.

Our culture is rooted in one simple principle: make it better, always. Whether we’re refining a wiring harness, engineering a new solution, or perfecting a cabin layout, our team approaches each task with pride, discipline, and a relentless drive to elevate the standard.

We don’t just customize aircraft; we transform them into purpose-built machines tailored to your mission and refined to perform. Our specialists combine deep technical expertise with a mindset shaped by precision craftsmanship and continuous improvement. Quality is never an afterthought—it’s the foundation of everything we do.

From the smallest detail to the most complex integration, our dedication shows in every step of the build. The result is an aircraft that doesn’t feel mass-produced or generic—it feels intentional, refined, and unmistakably yours.

When you step into your helicopter, you won’t feel like you bought something off the shelf. You’ll feel the pride of owning a machine that was truly Built, Not Bought.

The Strength Behind the Turbolyft Team

Turbolyft is built by people who take pride in hard work, accountability, and craftsmanship. Our team is made up of experienced professionals who show up every day ready to solve problems, support one another, and deliver aircraft that operators can rely on when it matters most. We operate as a family—grounded, resilient, and committed to doing the job right.

This mindset is led and reinforced by a hands-on leadership team that works shoulder-to-shoulder across maintenance, avionics, manufacturing, and operations.

John Lawson, Director of Maintenance, has been a cornerstone of Turbolyft from day one. He anchors the organization with a relentless focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence, and is known for his straight-shooting leadership style—clear expectations, honest conversations, and zero tolerance for shortcuts or grey areas.

From the very beginning, John has cared not only about doing the work right, but about building the business the right way. He understands that disciplined maintenance practices, regulatory integrity, and accountability are what earn long-term trust with operators and regulators alike. His leadership balances technical rigor with sound business judgment, helping shape a company culture where quality is non-negotiable and the organization is built to last.

His dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the company’s vision helped shape the avionics capability and technical culture from the very beginning. Chris has consistently gone beyond his role—supporting the team through growth, challenges, and complex projects—while holding an uncompromising standard for workmanship and system reliability.

His leadership is defined by trust, mentorship, and hands-on involvement. Whether developing clean, traceable architectures or supporting technicians on the hangar floor, Chris leads by example. The avionics team’s reputation for precision, durability, and mission-ready performance is a direct reflection of his long-standing dedication to the company and the people behind it.
